Making a Hedgehog Leatherworks style sheath and Discussing the Price o...

http:ianatkinson.netleathervideos.htmIf you have found the collection of leatherwork videos helpful and would like to send me a small donation there are details on how you can do so as well as info on the videos in the link above! There is also information on there about shops as well as a gallery of my work and other info. In this video I first talk about Hedgehog Leatherworks' pricing since many people feel it's too expensive (I don't!), and I then go on to make myself a Hedgehog style sheath for my SOG Desert Dagger. The first bit is blurry sorry, I filmed it on my iPhone and it just didn't focus properly! It was too long to do again. The two songs are 'Slow Burn' and 'Whisky on the Mississippi' by Kevin MacLeod and are royalty free to use from his website:http:incompetech.commcroyalty-freeindex.html?genre=BluesFor my site see:www.ianatkinson.netleather

Solo Five Day Hunting Bushcraft

For more Bushcraft resources - http:www.mcqbushcraft.co.ukFollow me on Twitter - http:www.twitter.comMCQBushcraftThis is a documentary style video covering four of the five days I spent hunting, foraging and practicing buhscraft skills in some woodland by the coastline. For a rough guide on the gear I used - https:www.youtube.comwatch?v=uFsFbRO-n9EThe neck knife was a gift from a knife maker called 'Patrick' and his channel name is 'The Angus Knives' - he makes knives to order and the one i used was a skinning blade. The large blade knife that I use is called an 'ESEE 6'The boots are 'Jack Pyke Tundra Waterproof Boots' they are very water resistant but died shortly after this trip (lasted six months) I would not recommend them. The Ivy all around me is not Poison Ivy, its Common English Ivy. The Shotgun is a Fausti 12 Bore, 3" chambers with 28 inch Barrels. Thanks for watching, Mike

Making a Leather EDC Pouch for a Leatherman Wave, bits and extras

http:ianatkinson.netleathervideos.htmIf you have found the collection of leatherwork videos helpful and would like to send me a small donation there are details on how you can do so as well as info on the videos in the link above! There is also information on there about shops as well as a gallery of my work and other info. This video has been re-uploaded with some or all of the audio removed to avoid problems with dishonest companies making unfounded copyright claims. In this video I am making a pouch for a Leatherman Wave, a set of Leatherman bits, a Fisher Space Pen and a Fenix E05 torch. It also has a snap off belt loop to allow it to go on and off the belt easily. The idea behind this was not to fight the lumps that like to spring up when wet forming but to encourage them and use them in the design. The two little ridges that I formed stop the torch or pen from dropping out of their tubes (although they're a good fit anyway!).

Making a Pigskin Lined Leather Pouch for a Fallkniven TK3 Pocket Knife...

http:ianatkinson.netleathervideos.htmIf you have found the collection of leatherwork videos helpful and would like to send me a small donation there are details on how you can do so as well as info on the videos in the link above! There is also information on there about shops as well as a gallery of my work and other info. In this tutorial video we look at making a lined leather belt pouch for a Fallkniven TK3 knife. We see how we can make the front portion of the pouch by forming leather over a wooden form or 'last' rather than using the knife itself. We then explore how the pigskin lining can be applied to the sheath and how to create the binding on the front.I hope you enjoy this video, it's a little long but it takes time to explain some of the steps! The video is broken down as follows:03:05 Measuring the last 05:44 Making the last 13:12 Forming on the last 16:57 Trimming 19:47 Making the back 26:04 Dyeing 28:24 Buffing and finishes 35:26 Applying the lining 60:18 Attaching the belt loop 61:15 Stitching 66:15 Finishing off

How To Sharpen a Knife

More info and links in the description below. Sharpening a knife can be dangerous, so make sure you are careful and go slowly! This video shows how to sharpen a knife using the Lansky sharpening system.PLEASE NOTE: I am not affiliated with Lansky in any way, I use the product and I think it works well, that's the only reason I'm recommending it.Diamond sharpening system ($53): http:amzn.to1mHx6DbStandard sharpening system ($22): http:amzn.to1yx5eHaStand for the sharpening system ($8): http:amzn.to1rFAdwcSpend the extra for the diamond system if you can afford it. They both work well, but the diamond system is faster. The diamond version will also work much better on steels that have high carbide content like D2, S30V, S35V, M4, and so on...For more info on my knives have a look at my website: http:goughcustom.com
